CHILDREN'S MINISTRY AT OBCC
Sonshine Zoo - 0-2 years are experiencing a variety of opportunities to participate in worship, read aloud stories, snack, play time and prayer. It is our goal to create a safe and loving atmosphere for all families.

Sonshine Island - 3-5 years desires to see children falling in love with the Lord God Almighty! The children learn about tithe, worship, prayer and Bible stories that are presented at their age level. We are looking for people interested in volunteering one Sunday a month to be a mentor for these children. Talk to Beth Rager to volunteer one Sunday a month.

Sonshine Avenue - 6-12 years are now going DEEP into God's Word by learning how to look in the Bible for life's answers and how to share what we find with others. On Sunday mornings sister Rebekah and Holly Hudson are training the children the importance of the ARMOR OF GOD. Ephesians 6:10-18 teaches the children realize they can turn to God for protection, guidance, and comfort when fears and dangers are overwhelming.

On Wednesday evenings the children are doing an in-depth study of the Fruit of the Spirit with teachers Sarah Reynolds, Beki Anderson, and Cindy Hill. The children spend two weeks on each of the characteristics of the Fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22-23. They each have their own journals in which they write what that lesson meant to them. Thanks to the songs that worship leader, Nadine Juntunen is writing, the children are singing their scripture memory verses. It is truly life changing.
